Nanotechnology (often abbreviated as "nanotech") is the science of manipulating matter at the atomic and molecular scale. Nanotechnology deals generally with the structures of a size between 1 and 100 nanometers in at least one dimension, and involves developing materials or equipment has at least one dimension of this size. quantum mechanical effects are very important at this scale, which is in the quantum domain. Nanotechnology is very diverse, ranging from extensions of conventional device physics, new methods based on molecular self-assembly, to develop new materials with dimensions at the nanoscale to study whether we can directly control matter at the atomic scale.
