Seminar On Viruses

The virus is a small agent that can be played only within living cells and organisms. Most viruses are too small to be seen directly by light microscopy. Viruses transmitted through all kinds of microorganisms, animals and plants, bacteria and sheets. Since the first discovery of tobacco mosaic virus by Martinus Beijerinck in 1898, about 5000 viruses have been described in detail, although there are millions of different. The virus can be found in nearly all ecosystems of the Earth and the most abundant type of biological entity. The study of viruses is known as virology, microbiology sub-specialties. viral particles (known as virions) consist of two or three parts: the genetic material consists of DNA or RNA, long molecules that carry genetic information of a protein coating that protects these genes, and in some cases the envelope of lipids surrounding the protein coat, when they are out of the cell.Virus forms ranging from simple helical and icosahedral forms to more complex structures. The virus is on average about a hundredth the size of the average bacterium.
