Voice over Internet Protocol (Voice over IP, VoIP) is a family of Internet technologies, protocols and communication methods for transmitting voice and multimedia sessions over IP (Internet Protocol) networks like the Internet. Other common terms, often synonymous with VoIP is a voice over IP, Internet telephony, broadband (VoBB), the service to broadband and broadband telephony. Internet telephony refers to communications services, voice, fax, SMS and / or voice messaging applications that are transported via the Internet and public switched telephone network (PSTN). Steps is a VoIP call signaling and media channel settings for the digitization of analog audio signals, coding, packetization and transmission of Internet Protocol (IP) packets over a packet network. The receiving side, similar measures (usually in reverse order) as the reception of IP packets, packet decoding, and digital-analog conversion to reproduce the original voice flow.
