A digital signal processor (DSP) is a specialized microprocessor with an architecture optimized for rapid operational needs of digital signal processing. algorithms for digital signal processing typically require a large number of mathematical operations to be performed quickly and repeatedly on a set of data. Signals (perhaps audio or video sensors) is constantly being transformed from analog to digital, digital manipulation, and then converted to analog form, as illustrated below. Many DSP applications have constraints on latency, it is so that the system works, the DSP operation to be completed within a time limit, and deferred (or batch) processing is not viable.
